ios - "Install of Apple Watch Application never finished" Error when deploying watch kit app to device -


so got new watch (yay!). manually added udid developer portal , refreshed provisioning profiles , able push archive itc testing want run app in debug on watch itself.

i try deploying watch kit app target set phone device , sits there , runs/ churns while , nothing happens.

if wait long enough, xcode errors

"install of apple watch application never finished" xcode error

has run across or know of tricks can try?

i keep running xcode 7 beta , ios 9 / watchos 2 simulators.

one solution worked me reset , restart both simulators, didn't work reliably. tried other things, , started work reliably me was:

  1. go "apple watch" companion app on ios simulator.
  2. click app's name.
  3. toggle "show app on apple watch" switch shown in screenshot below. (turn off, , on again)
  4. run app again xcode.
