my wordpress site visited lot of spam referrals. edited .htaccess file block known spam referrals not helping me since there more , more spams referrals coming. there standard way filter out spam referrals? please let me know.

the .htaccess file can control access website, type of spam, commonly called ghost referrer spam, hits directly analytics , never accesses site, it's pointless block them .htaccess file.
to stop them you should add filter in ga. there many approaches it, can add filter every spammer(or stack them in 1 expression) or use more advanced filter valid hostnames. can check these answers more information.
